Rundental ultrasonic scaler belongs to piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic scaler. Its principle is to use high-frequency vibration energy to remove dental calculus and plaque.

Every dentist has different operating habits and techniques when cleaning teeth for patients. Here are a few points which require special attention.

1.Check the manual in detail

Please check the manual in detail before operation, and read it several times.

2.The operation of tip

• The tip cannot be aligned vertically with the tooth surface, and the tip part acting on the calculus should be kept parallel to the tooth surface as much as possible, so that the teeth can be cleaned effectively and at the same time improved comfort.
• The angle between the working tip and the tooth surface should not be greater than 15°, and the tip part should be parallel to the tooth surface.

• The middle part of the working tip is close to the tooth surface, there will be a gap between the tip part and the tooth surface, and it cannot act on the dental calculus.

• Hit the teeth with the motion trajectory of the working tip, and it hurts.

• Use the working tip to hit the tooth surface vertically and damage the tooth.

3.Avoid restoration

When the patient is wearing a porcelain crown and bridge, filling or photosensitive resin and other restorations, the working tip should not move directly on the crown or filling to prevent the filling from falling off. The working tip should not be stopped on the tooth surface for a long time. If the working tip is stuck between the teeth, stop working immediately, gently withdraw outwards, and not twist it strongly, otherwise the working tip will easily break.

4.Use water without impurities

Do not use tap water as the source of cleansing water, which may cause blockage of the solenoid valve.
